By engaging with Lakeshore Lighting and its services, including visiting our website (lakeshorelights.com), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including consultations, outdoor lighting installations, and related products. By requesting a quote, scheduling a consultation, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

2. Services Provided

Lakeshore Lighting provides custom outdoor lighting solutions for residential properties, including but not limited to:

  • Landscape lighting

  • Architectural lighting

  • Permanent holiday lighting

  • Bistro lighting

All installations feature top-quality, and sometimes phone-controlled products. Services are subject to availability and may vary based on your location in Holland, Michigan, or surrounding areas.

3. Quote and Payment Terms

  • Quotes: All quotes provided are free and valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated. Quotes are estimates based on initial consultations and may be adjusted after a site visit.

  • Deposits: A 50% deposit is required to schedule installation, with the remaining balance due upon completion.

  • Payment Methods: We accept credit cards, bank transfers, cash, and checks. Payments must be made in U.S. dollars.

  • Late Payments: Overdue payments may incur a 5% late fee per month. We reserve the right to suspend services for non-payment. A payment becomes "late" 14 days after installation is completed.

4. Installation and Service

  • Scheduling: Installation dates are scheduled based on mutual agreement. Delays due to weather, supply chain issues, or unforeseen circumstances may occur, and we will communicate updates promptly.

  • Property Access: You agree to provide access to your property for installation and maintenance. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary permits or homeowner association approvals.

  • Modifications: Any changes to the agreed-upon design after the deposit may incur additional fees, which will be communicated in advance.

5. Warranties and Guarantees

  • Product Warranty: Our lighting products come with a manufacturer’s warranty (typically 1-3 years, depending on the product). We will facilitate repairs or replacements per the manufacturer’s terms.

  • Installation Warranty: We provide a 1-year warranty on installation workmanship. Issues due to misuse, vandalism, or natural disasters are not covered.

  • No Additional Guarantees: Beyond the above, we make no guarantees regarding the performance or longevity of lighting systems due to factors beyond our control (e.g., power surges, weather).

  • Exceptions: Sometimes, existing installations are refreshed/replaced. We do not warranty any and all existing hardware, wire, transformers, labor, etc.

6. Limitation of Liability

Lakeshore Lighting is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services, including but not limited to property damage, loss of use, or delays. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service. You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of our products or failure to maintain your property.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 7 days before the scheduled installation will receive a full refund of the deposit, minus a 5% processing fee. Cancellations within 7 days are non-refunded but may be credited toward a future service.

  • Refunds: Refunds for completed services are not provided unless covered by warranty. Custom products (e.g., tailored lighting designs) are non-refunded.
